Badia a Coltibuono Riserva Chianti Classico 2009

(90% sangiovese and 10% other varieties): Good full, deep red. Aromas of blueberry, licorice and violet. Supple and sweet but serious, with a slightly medicinal cast to the bright flavors of dark red berries, tobacco leaf and minerals. This very graceful wine shows sneaky concentration and finishes with supple tannins and very good length. I especially like its pure delivery of sangiovese-accurate fruit. Score - 91.
