Cathedral Cellar Shiraz 2012

South Africa has been giving Australia a run for its money with shiraz for a few years. This very attractive example shows plenty of fruit and complexity, all harnessed to fresh acidity that contributes juiciness to the texture. It's dry, with easy-going tannins, and although it's young, it's ready to drink now and over the next three or four years. It represents very good value. Score - 4 Stars out of 5.
