Puklus Pincészet Tokaji Yellow Muscat 2013

The volcanic/clay soils and hills of northeastern Hungary are to Muscat as Paris is to love or orange is to the new black. This example is floral and pretty, with big, impressive notes of apple, lime and peach alongside a solid mineral underpinning. The vibrant acidity brings balance and makes this a good choice for spicy Asian dishes or smoked paprika chicken. (VINTAGES panel, June 2014)
