My favorite of the barrel samples, the 2012 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi excels on its balance, texture and purity. Giving up pretty aromas and flavors of underbrush/forest floor, spring flower, black raspberry and wild strawberries, this medium-bodied, seamless Pinot was completely destemmed and will see 20 months in 50% new French oak.
