Cleto Chiarli e Figli Vecchia Modena Premium Lambrusco di Sorbara

Lambrusco has gone through a resurgence in style and quality lately - this dry, serious wine is an excellent example of what is happening in the region. Aromas of cherry preserves, candied rhubarb and cranberry sauce in addition to gentle floral notes. On the palate this is remarkably elegant, tart and tangy with a soft, subtle mousse. There's good focus throughout, and a clean, refreshing finish. This will be a fantastic match to Italian salumi, especially as a shared appetizer outside on a hot day. (VINTAGES panel, June 2015)
