Inglenook 1882 Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Named for the year of the first vintage produced by original Inglenook founder Gustave Niebaum, this legendary winery was restored to its former glory by Francis Ford Coppola. The 2012 Cab Sauv offers a great window into the phenomenon that is Rutherford Cabernet, with delicious dark fruit, impressive heft and impeccable balance. There's structure reminiscent of cru-quality Bordeaux here, and the wine should age favourably till 2020. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014)
