Domaine Thibert Vignes de la Côte Pouilly-Fuissé 2011

Moderate wood is at the edge of fighting with the ripe apple and pear liqueur aromas that merge seamlessly with the dense and seductively textured medium weight flavors that exude a fine dry extract that buffers the firm acid spine on the hugely long finish. The oak is less well-integrated than the other examples of Pouilly-Fuissé in the range but the underlying material appears to be present to absorb it. Outstanding. Drink: 2016+. Score - 90-93.
