Menade Verdejo 2013

Also made from 100% Verdejo (even older vines - 80 to 100 years old) and aged three months on its lees, the more perfumed 2013 Verdejo reminded me of a lighter-bodied Condrieu. Lots of tropical fruit, honeyed apricot and white peach aromas jump from the glass of this beautifully ripe, medium-bodied, crisp, fresh, consumer-friendly, dry white. Loaded with fruit, it appears to be a poor person's Condrieu in both aromas and flavors. Enjoy it over the next year. Score - 89. (Robert Parker Jr., erobertparker.com, June 2014)
