Señorío de Sarría Viñedo No.8 Mazuelo Crianza 2009

'Mazuelo' is the Spanish name for Carignan, a late-ripening variety that flourishes in (indeed requires) hot climates such as that found in Navarra. Complex and evocative on the nose with big fruit notes. Impressive balance and concentration on the palate with well-applied oak and plenty of sweet, ripe and spicy fruit and a very dry finish.
