The 2012 HAHN SLH Estate Chardonnay is a well-made barrel-fermented chardonnay at a good price. It has aromas of apples and tropical fruit. The flavor is primarily of apples with some vanilla. The barrel fermentation lends this wine a nice creamy texture, and the oakiness is thankfully not heavy. The wine has a pleasantly nutty, lingering finish.
