Deep ruby. A grapey aroma is complicated by flint herbs and cocoa. Bright and minerally on entry, then sweeter and richer in the middle, with ripe cassis and earthy flavors conveying noteworthy complexity and charm. The long finish features harmonious acidity and building but polished tannins. Very well done: I get the distinct impression that things are turning for the better at La Louvière. Score - 87-90.
