The 2012 Single Vineyard HVD Hunter Chardonnay exudes lovely notes of grapefruit, white blossoms and apricot with nuances of struck match and meal. Light-bodied and tightly knit on the palate, it has a nice suggestion of silkiness offset by racy acid then finishes with plenty of citrus zest layers. Approachable now, it should drink to 2017+.
