Hugel Gentil 2013

A classic, refreshing Alsatian white wine with lovely notes of lime, Asian pear, white peach and grapefruit. Perfect as an aperitif or an accompaniment to many dishes. This AC-designated wine is a field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc grapes. The winemaking region of Alsace in France that borders Germany is renowned for blending several white grapes to create more complex white wines. This is one of the benchmark producers from the region. Pair with fresh seafood. Pair with: seared scallops, sushi, vegetables, herbed chicken, pork dishes. Drink: 2013-2017. Score - 91.
