Auntsfield Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012

Good bright, dark red. Aromas of dark cherry, smoke, licorice and spicy oak, complemented by a flinty mineral quality. Sweet, chewy and deep, offering sappy, dry, sharply focused flavors of red and dark berries, cherry and spices. Shows good breadth without any heaviness. A firm spine of tannins calls for a couple years of patience. Serious juice, and a very strong performance for this vintage in Marlborough. Score - 90+. (Stephen Tanzer, vinousmedia.com, Sept. 2014)
