Tenuta di Trinoro 2011

If you love Franchetti's signature style, the 2011 Tenuta di Trinoro is especially massive. The 2011 heat and drought contributed to further intensify the sweet fruit used to make this wine. The wine is 90% Cabernet Franc with small parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged in new oak and cement vats. Only 500 cases were made. This wine shows high- voltage intensity and elegance with big, brooding blackness that moves slowly on the inside of the glass. The finish is soft, supple and highlighted by pretty mineral shadings.
