Poplar Grove Chardonnay 2012

Ripe and quite intense with lots of popcorn, nut, peach, baked apple, generally quite toasty but in the reductive, nutty way. The palate is dry, full and nutty with some vanilla, butter, caramel and crème brûlée flavour. The acidity is medium-plus, balancing the wine nicely and there is more ripe stone fruit, tree fruit and cantaloupe with a medium-plus length finish. Score - 89.
