Stratus Meritage 2009

Explosive to say the least! Even though it is almost equal parts Sauv Blanc and Semillon, it is the SB component which dominates the nose in the form of green plums, fruit salad, passion fruit and asparagus. The Sémillon controls the mouth with its honey, pineapple and spice. Add in some toast and yeast qualities and what you have is a multi-dimensional wine which is one of Ontario's finest White Meritages. Score - 90. (Evan Saviolidis, winesavvy.ca, April 2012)
