Hedges Family Estate Red 2011

Here's a nicely structured, savoury, full but balanced, succulent red from Washington's premium Red Mountain AVA. This is still very youthful and stands to gain considerable complexity in time, and will develop into an exceptional bottle of wine (although it is excellent now to be sure). A terrific example of the balance of fruity and savoury components, not to mention ripeness and freshness, which is possible with careful vineyard management in the right terroir. Fine stuff.
