Hidden Bench Chardonnay 2012

This is a big, broad, quite fleshy chardonnay with generous aromas of yellow apple/pear, butter and gentle wood smoke. Quite full, creamy almost oily palate with some oak tannin and nutty bitterness on the finish. Yet the acidity remains firm and balanced; a key to the 2012s in Niagara. Excellent length. Score - 90.
