This is a firm, even handed quite elegant chardonnay that stays very focused - with lifted, complex nose of marzipan, peat smoke, vanillin, baked apple and spice staying run through the palate, and adding some minerality on the finish. The length is excellent to outstanding. It really hangs together, in a very serious, linear, mature and nutty way. It may soften with aged but flavours already are in a mature spectrum. Score - 91.
