Cave Spring CSV Riesling 2012

Cave Spring's top-rung riesling shows excellent structure and depth thanks to mature vines in the Cave Spring Vineyard (CSV). The aromatics are pronounced, with petrol, pear, grapefruit and herbs that instantly reminded me of some Mosel riesling. It's powerful and linear with a mineral finish and some bitterness. Excellent length. This vintage may not have quite the longevity of some but should last out the decade. Score - 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Dec. 30, 2014)
