René Geoffroy Blanc de Rosé Extra Brut 1er Cru Champagne

(a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir; 3 g/l dosage; disgorged in June, 2014): Light orange. Pungent, sharply defined aromas of redcurrant, orange peel and medicinal cherry, with an herbal nuance in the background. Smells a lot like Campari and tastes like it too, offering bitter red fruit and herb flavors and a touch of white pepper.
