Bouchard Père & Fils Pommard 2013

The wines of Pommard are regarded as among the most powerful reds of the Côte de Beaune, which is intriguing when you consider the juxtaposition of the neighbouring vineyards of Volnay and their delicate red wines. This youthful 2013 offers bright cherry and strawberry fruit, tantalizing minerality and chewy tannins on a superbly balanced and structured frame with elegance and force in equal measure.
