Capafons-Ossó Mas de Masos 2004

Selected from 6,000 garnacha and cariñena vines planted in 1952, this wine is organic - not only in the viticultural sense of the word, but also in terms of taste. There's plenty of fresh fruit here, in scents of cherries and strawberries, but the primary scent is raw meat-like carpaccio loaded with capers. The palate is tense, with remarkable depth, so you can virtually breathe it. A wine full of character, to drink with morcilla and mashed potatoes. Score - 95. (wineandspiritsmagazine.com, Oct. 2009)
