Michel et Pompilia Guiraud Les Cerises Saint-Chinian 2013

An impressive blend of 52% Syrah, 17% Grenache, 17% Carignan and the balance Cinsault (unoaked and aged, on lees, all in tank), the 2013 Saint Chinian Les Cerises offers ample black cherry, earth, peppered meat and underbrush in a medium-bodied, focused and pure package. Firming up nicely on the finish, with integrated acidity and fine tannin, it has outstanding potential and should evolve gracefully for 4-6 years after release. Score - 88-90.
