Domaine Lafage Cuvée Authentique Côtes du Roussillon 2012

A blend of nearly equal parts Syrah, Carignan (all from Maury) and Grenache (from the Aspres), the 2012 Cotes du Roussillon Cuvee Authentique had 30% of the blend aged in barrel, and the balance in tank. Relatively structured, with medium to full-bodied richness and notable tannin, it yields impressive aromas of kirsch, white pepper and distinct minerality to go with a serious meatiness that comes out with time in the glass.
