Bodegas Mas Alta La Basseta 2008

The 2008 La Basseta is medium purple in color with a nose of slightly roasted mineral and spice elements, violets, black cherry, and black plum. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with a smooth texture, layered flavors, excellent volume, and a firm structure. This lengthy effort will evolve for 2-3 years and will deliver prime drinking from 2014 to 2023. Score - 94. (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, May 2011)
