Buena Vista Chardonnay 2011

Eclipsing most 'pioneers' in California by a century, Buena Vista Winery was founded in 1857 and is often touted as California's first premium winery. This wine may be called 'Buena Vista' (good view), but it's certainly not shy on 'buen gusto' (good taste). Ripe, bright citrus fruit and suggestions of creamy vanilla delight in this sunny, round, deliciously flavourful Chardonnay. A good choice for crab legs or grilled pork. (VINTAGES panel, June 2014)
