A deep and intense purple colour with a ripe, warm berry nose. Blackberry, dried plum, eucalyptus, cocoa and some smoked meat, coffee and black cherry give ripe yet savoury qualities. The palate is dry, rich and spicy with a full body, good juicy acidity and ripe medium plus tannins. There is lots of blueberry and mulberry fruit, pepper, charred meat and some eucalyptus and cassis notes all with a long finish. Score - 89. (Rhys Pender, MW, winealign.com, July 12, 2014)
