Deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of cassis, cherry, plum, and tobacco. Great replays with additional notes of anise and graphite creating even more complexity and intrigue. Long and smoky on the finish, this fine example of the stellar 2009 vintage has the structure to reward cellaring and following its evolution, but it will be excellent tonight with grilled lamb or steak.
