Seeing the same elevage (16 months, 30% new French oak), the 2011 Chardonnay Bien Nacido comes from vines planted in 1973. It offers up a rich, masculine profile with copious crushed stone-like minerality, hazelnut and citrus blossom, flowing to a gorgeously focused, detailed palate.
