Dense, deep purple-crimson; an extraordinary wine, with more blackberry fruit per dollar than any other shiraz I can recollect ever tasting; durif would be the only competitor. It is a velvety, luscious mouthful of fruit, dark chocolate and soft tannins, whatever oak used no longer visible - and not needed. Exceptional value. Drink until 2025. Score - 93.
