Buena Vista Pinot Noir 2011

Buena Vista is historic Sonoma winery now owned by Boisset of France. It is quintessential California pinot from the cool Carneros region atop San Pablo/San Francisco Bay, with fragrant cran-red cherry fruit, toast, cinnamon and fresh herbs. It's mid-weight, warm, juicy and firm with some warmth but a dry, nicely bitter and herbal finish. This has excellent focus, length and charm, plus tension often missing from California pinots.
