The 2011 Zisola is ripe with Nero d'Avola aromas of scorched earth and ripe cherry fruit. But the Mazzei brothers have also successfully added modern winemaking elements to remove any residual rusticity from the grape. Dark chocolate, tobacco and leather abound.
