Villa Symposia L'Equilibre 2008

... Dark cherry and blackberry of palate-staining intensity remind me of the 2009 Amfora bottling but here there is a savory saline streak that really gets your juices flowing to meet the juiciness of the berries half way, while a chalky undertone and coniferous, resinous notes add intrigue and pungent complexity to an exhilarating, extended finish. This cuvee is looking more and more like one of its region's consistently outstanding values. I suspect that the present instantiation will drink well for 4-5 years. Score - 92.
