La Ferme du Mont Première Côte Côtes du Rhône 2012

Starting the reds and a borderline outstanding Cotes du Rhone, the 2012 Premiere Cote checks in as a blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre that was aged all in concrete. Made with an emphasis on freshness and coming from eastern-facing slopes around the village of Courthezon (which is on the eastern edge of Chateauneuf du Pape), it possesses notable aromas of pepper, wild herbs, licorice and pretty red and blackberry styled fruit.
