Rocca di Castagnoli Poggio a'Frati Riserva Chianti Classico 2010

Sage, rosemary, incense, black cherries and tobacco burst from the glass in the 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva Poggio a'Frati. Here it is the wine's energy and vibrancy that stand out most. The 2010 finishes with a real sense of density and pure power that rounds things out. My impression is that the 2010 will be even better in another few years, although it is pretty special, even today. Drinking window: 2015-2030. Score - 93.
