The nose is initially quite closed, but with air and a little time it begins to reveal a wealth of dark fruit and berries and spice. The palate is equally tight at first, but again it opens up with time to reveal an exciting and balanced wine with nice complexity. Ripe and juicy with firm tannins and excellent acidity, this will reward a year or two of cellaring. (VINTAGES panel, June 2014)
