Napa Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

This bottle delivers what you expect from a Napa cabernet: rich fruit, full body, and pretty high alcohol (14.4%). It also delivers a lot of complexity, good structure, and a very effective fruit-acid balance so that the fruit won't overwhelm what you're eating. I'm reminded of a South African winemaker saying that some wines (not his, of course!) jump out of the bottle and strangle any food in the vicinity. This cabernet most definitely doesn't do that. Aside from the good balance, you'll find easy-going tannins. It's drinking well now and will hold well another four or five years. Score - 4 1/2 Stars out of 5.
